If you are one of the more than 100 million Americans who will be traveling for the holidays, there is a good chance you’ll be passing through an airport. Although flying makes it easy to travel long distances in a timely manner to spend time with friends and family, bad weather and long lines could force you to spend more time than you want or were planning on in the airport. Here are some apps to help you navigate the terminal, avoid long lines or to grab a bite to eat while you wait for your flight to take off.

iFly Pro: With in-depth details of more than 700 airports worldwide, the iFly Pro app helps travelers make the most efficient use of their in-airport transit. The app features GPS terminal maps, a flight tracker, airport status, parking rates and locations, airline information, restaurant and lounge information, ground transportation options, terminal services and layover ideas. The app also includes information on carry-on/checked baggage allowances and rules, airport security and ID requirements, and tips for traveling with kids and pets.

Cost: $4.99 to download to iOS, $6.99 to download to Android.

MiFlight: The MiFlight app focuses on airport security checkpoints.
