Brussels Airport has obtained the carbon neutrality certification,

the highest possible Airport Carbon Accreditation certificate from ACI, Airport Council International. This certification affirms that Brussels Airport is committed to permanently reducing the airport’s CO2 emissions and that residual emissions are offset.

IDF launches ‘Buy Before You Fly’ Webshop for Brussels South Charleroi Airport

From the start of 2017, passengers holding a ticket from or to Brussels South Charleroi Airport will enjoy exceptional rates on a wide selection of products available on IDF’s new online boutique.

The web shop offers a wide range of products complementing the broad selection available in the airport’s boutiques. After completing flight references, passengers will have the opportunity to shop and choose among one of the many delivery options on offer, such as pick up at the airport, as the quick departures or in a Kariboo distribution point, or even at home.

Belgian specialities, perfumes and cosmetics, chocolates and confectionery, liquor, fashion and accessories, travel and leisure – all categories are represented through more than 5,000 products. Passengers are able to enjoy the best deals with such brands as Godiva, Corné Port-Royal, Neuhaus, representing Belgian chocolates, perfumes signed Moschino, Karl Lagerfeld, Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino and Rayban sunglasses.

At Brussels Airport, a distributor converts foreign currency to voucher for Duty Free shops

A Brussels Airport, un distributeur transforme les devises étrangères en bon d’achat dans les boutiques Duty Free

Coindrum, une entreprise irlandaise, a installé un automate à Brussels Airport, capable d’échanger les pièces de monnaies étrangères des voyageurs en bons de valeur à utiliser dans les zones hors taxe de l’aéroport, indique l’entreprise vendredi. La valeur de ces bons dépassera de 10% les montants introduits dans l’appareil.

L’automate rouge de la société Coindrum est déjà installé dans une des boutiques de la zone hors taxe de Brussels Airport. Pour obtenir un bon de valeur, les voyageurs doivent simplement glisser leurs pièces ou leurs billets. L’automate imprime un bon, uniquement valable dans les magasins de la zone hors taxe de l’aéroport. Grâce à la collaboration avec la société International Duty Free (IDF), l’entreprise Coindrum propose aux voyageurs 10% de valeur ajoutée sur leurs bons.

En ce moment, des négociations sont en cours pour un partenariat avec un septième aéroport international. « Nous recevons beaucoup de demandes de passagers pour connaître l’endroit où ils peuvent trouver un automate Coindrum. C’est un signe qu’il y a encore un large potentiel de croissance », indique le CEO irlandais de Coindrum, Lukas Decker.
